Like their collectible baskets, Longaberger pottery pieces are heirloom-quality.  Made with the finest materials and attention to quality, they will look great, even after many years of use.

Are you looking for a particular item from the pottery collection.  If so, you may want to see if it's listed below...

There are two main types sold by the company.  The most popular is the vitrified pottery, which includes the entire Woven Traditions line.  With high quality glazes and non-porous bodies, these are oven, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe.  They also resist chipping, cracking and crazing better than typical stoneware.

As part of their pottery line, Longaberger also offers high quality stoneware pieces.  These are safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher.  However, they should not be used in the oven.

Quick Q&A:

How can I tell if my pottery is vitrified or stoneware?

Easy!  Every piece includes a back stamp stating the safe uses of the product.  If it states only that it's microwave and dishwasher safe, it comes from the stoneware line.  If it states that it's safe to use in the oven, microwave, dishwasher and freezer, it's vitrified.

How can I keep my Longaberger pottery looking its best?

With a little care, your pieces should continue to look great year after year.  To remove caked-on food, soak your pieces in hot, soapy water, then use a non-abrasive scouring pad to clean.  To remove dark marks left by metal utensils, use a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keeper's Friend or Zud.

Do I need to let my pottery cool down before placing in one of my Longaberger baskets?

You can safely place your pieces directly into your baskets as long as they were not heated to temperatures of more than 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  If you are using a fabric liner, it should be heated no higher than 300 degrees Fahrenheit.  You should never place hot pieces in any baskets with a plastic liner.

Where are Longaberger pottery pieces manufactured?

The products from the American Home Pottery line are made in America.  The products from the Woven Traditions line are generally imported.  However, regardless where the pieces are manufactured, the company ensures that all meet the FDA safety requirements, as well as California Prop 65 more stringent standards.

What colors are available?

Longaberger pottery comes in a wide range of color choices, including ivory, ebony, sage, paprika, tomato, traditional red, cornflower, classic blue, and butternut.  You should have no problem finding ones that coordinate well with your home decor.
