A Longaberger Recipe Basket is a "sweet" way to indulge in your basket cravings, without spending a lot of "dough".

As you can see, I'm having a little fun with words today (it's one of my bad habits!).  Another one of my bad habits is that I love to bake.  Actually, the baking part is not the problem.  The real issue is that I like to eat all those homemade goodies I make - if only I could tell myself "no"!

I'm quickly getting off topic, so to get back on track...

I really do love Longaberger Recipe Baskets.  They are practical but pretty kitchen accessories that no good cook should be without.  They keep favorite family recipes well-organized and handy, and at the same time, look great.  This is one organizer that you will want to proudly display on your kitchen countertops.  Your other cookbooks and recipe holders may be locked away in the cupboard or pantry, but this little basket will do big things to warm up your kitchen decor.

Throughout the years, Longaberger has made several accessories for their recipe baskets.  If I had to recommend just one, I would recommend the wooden lids.  They look beautiful, but they are also very functional.  They have a ridge that holds a recipe card in place on top of the box.  When you are ready to bake, pull the card out, put the lid back on the basket, and place the card on top of the lid.  When you're finished, there's a good chance that your card will end up filed away again, because it never strays too far from where it belongs.

There are also fun tie-ons, plastic protectors, and beautiful fabric liners.  The Fruit Medley fabric, as well as any of the plaid liners, will look right at home on a Longaberger Recipe Basket.
