Cold coffee?  No problem!  Like the other pieces from their pottery collection, Longaberger coffee mugs are microwave safe.  This includes styles from both the vitrified pottery line, as well as the stoneware line.

However, many styles are also oven safe.  That's right - if you feel so inclined, you can even use the Woven Traditions mugs, as well as any other piece from the vitrified pottery line, for baking.  Imagine serving your guests French Onion soup or individual brownie sundaes served in one of these cups.

Longaberger coffee mugs are also easy to keep clean.  Due to their high quality glazes, you should not have any problem with coffee stains marking up the inside of your cups.  Also, they can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher.

As you can see, I'm having a little fun with words today (it's one of my bad habits!).  Another one of my bad habits is that I love to bake.  Actually, the baking part is not the problem.  The real issue is that I like to eat all those homemade goodies I make - if only I could tell myself "no"!

Throughout the years, Longaberger has made several accessories for their recipe baskets.  If I had to recommend just one, I would recommend the wooden lids.  They look beautiful, but they are also very functional.  They have a ridge that holds a recipe card in place on top of the box.  When you are ready to bake, pull the card out, put the lid back on the basket, and place the card on top of the lid.  When you're finished, there's a good chance that your card will end up filed away again, because it never strays too far from where it belongs.

There are also fun tie-ons, plastic protectors, and beautiful fabric liners.  The Fruit Medley fabric, as well as any of the plaid liners, will look right at home on a Longaberger Recipe Basket.
